Es necesario decir la importancia que este concurso puede tener en un futuro próximo. El objetivo de las bases era tan ambicioso que los planteamientos sobre como debía ser la vivienda de reducida inversión y alta perfectibilidad, han dado unos interesantes resultados en muchas de las propuestas presentadas.

En nuestro caso la reflexión sobre como debía ser la vivienda perfectible y de reducido coste, dentro de una ciudad densa -500 vivienda por hectárea- nos ha llevado ha reconsiderar desde el sistema estructural (muros y forjados de 12 cm ), la agrupación de piezas intercambiables en la vivienda y la concepción de la piel exterior (doble galería térmica).

“En el momento cada vez mas complejo en el que nos movemos, no podemos entender la vivienda como un tema cerrado. Las formas de vida son tan variadas como la sociedad en la que vivimos y la vivienda debe saber dar respuesta a todas ellas. Por ello la habitación es la unidad del proyecto en vez de la vivienda en su conjunto. La adición de distintas habitaciones da como resultado distintas tipologías de vivienda para distintos usuarios y distintas formas de vida.
También sabemos que la vivienda no es hecho aislado. La vivienda es la célula de conformación de la ciudad y el territorio, y por tanto es parte fundamental de un sistema que funciona como un organismo global.
La vivienda es un organismo consumidor de energía, pero por que no pensar tambien en cambiar las reglas y convertirla en un productor de energía.
Y considerando el esfuerzo público, que supone la promoción de viviendas sociales, debemos utilizar las herramientas tecnológicas adecuadas para conseguir el mejor resultado con los medios económicos disponibles.”
